A little help
for the way ahead.
Set up your Garmin, reconnect your watch, and keep your next turn in view.
TwittMap is in development. Public downloads aren’t available yet. Check app availability.
Connect your watch
- Pair your Garmin with your iPhone in Garmin Connect.
- Once available, install TwittMap on your iPhone and watch. Open the watch app.
- On iPhone, open Account → Your Garmin → Connect Garmin and choose your watch.
- Wait for Ready. Plan a walking or cycling route, then choose Start on Garmin.
Connecting a watch doesn’t need background location. TwittMap asks for that when you start navigation.
Common questions
My watch isn’t responding
Keep it near your iPhone, check Bluetooth, and open TwittMap on the watch. In Your Garmin, choose Reconnect. If the watch isn’t listed, check its pairing in Garmin Connect.
Navigation says “Reconnecting”
TwittMap is trying to restore the connection. Bring the watch and phone together and keep the watch app open. Navigation resumes only after the watch receives a refreshed route. If recovery fails, start the route again from your iPhone.
How do I change or remove my watch?
Open Your Garmin and choose Change watch or Remove watch. Cancelling a change keeps your previous watch. Removing it stops navigation and forgets it in TwittMap; it stays paired in Garmin Connect.
Can I lock my iPhone while navigating?
Background location access is needed to keep updating routes with the phone locked. Choose Always for TwittMap in iPhone location settings. Keep the phone nearby with internet access; force-quitting TwittMap stops route updates.
Can I use it without my iPhone?
Your iPhone calculates and updates routes. Keep it nearby with Bluetooth and internet access. The watch does not calculate replacement routes independently.
